Provetree runs in any browser, on the laptop or Chromebook your learner already uses. Nothing from an app store, nothing to keep updated.
Provetree asks your learner to recognize one idea across equations, graphs, tables, word problems, and worked steps — the exact difference between doing the steps and understanding them — then tells you, in plain language, which parts held up. When you're ready, it's one payment for the whole household. No subscription.

The reason you're here
These are the ways parents describe it, and they all point at the same gap. A learner can carry a procedure a long way without ever seeing what it means. The Algebra Readiness Check is built to find that gap before Algebra 1 does.
She gets A’s, but I don’t think she really understands it.
We tried Khan Academy and it didn’t stick.
He does well in our curriculum, then struggles on outside tests.
She can do the steps, but she can’t tell me what they mean.
What the check tells you
Every wrong card in the check is a real student error, not filler. When your learner picks one, Provetree doesn't just mark it wrong — it names what they actually chose and why it doesn't match the evidence. That is the sentence you can act on.
Those moments add up into the parent report: which concept areas looked solid, which need practice, and where to start.

For your learner
Each round opens with a clue, not an answer. Your learner picks the one card that matches it — an equation, graph, table, word problem, or worked step — builds a visible proof chain, and scores it. Runs are short, the difficulty climbs, and the high score is theirs to beat.
What you get at the end
One line per concept area: solid, or needs practice, with a plain sentence saying which of the two — the steps or the idea — came up short. Then a recommended starting point, so you know which pack and difficulty band to open first.
It says what it is: a short placement check, not a grade-level certification and not a clinical diagnosis.

The offer
The Algebra Readiness Check is unlimited on the free tier, along with the tutorial match, 3 full Solo Discovery runs per learner, sample Algebra Foundations content, and a basic parent summary.

Provetree runs in any browser, on the laptop or Chromebook your learner already uses. Nothing from an app store, nothing to keep updated.
It sits alongside the curriculum you already chose and audits it. Provetree is not a full curriculum, a tutor, or a replacement for school.
DragonBox teaches equation manipulation through metaphor for younger kids, and stops there — no graphs, tables, word problems, or parent reporting. Provetree picks up with real notation for grades 6–9.
Beast Academy ends at grade 5. If you are assembling a middle-school math stack, this is one piece of it — the one that checks whether the understanding came along.
